Anna was the guest speaker at our recent Parenting in the Digital Age event and she was EXCELLENT. Anna is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and passionate and the feedback we have received about the event and Anna's involvement has been extremely positive. As the dad of an eleven-year-old girl, I have become increasing concerned about the explosion of smart phones and social media use amongst her friend group. I am no technophobe but it seems clear that many of these kids are ill-equipped to deal with some of the more disturbing aspects of the web. Therefore, it was a great opportunity to watch Anna give her presentation at our primary school. She clearly has spent a lot of time researching the world of online safety and covered the various different platforms, their nuances and features. And most importantly, the safeguards that are available. I came away from the evening with a deeper understanding of the risks and feeling a little more empowered to help my daughter navigate this new world. Highly recommended for any concerned parents.

Thank you for your visit. I feel like it was definitely beneficial for the children to receive the messages you gave from yourself. I think hearing similar messages from someone who isn't their teacher helps to strengthen their understanding and the likelihood that they will apply it in their own online lives I think that the sorting activities always work well and generate more discussion. All of the resources you used were appropriate and relatable to the children and your manner with children ensured that they were listening and engaged.

We were fortunate to have Anna talk to parents at our primary school about children's online safety. Anna is an incredibly insightful speaker who gave a thorough and detailed overview of what children are truly experiencing and engaging with online, shedding light on the often-hidden aspects of their digital lives. She guided us through practical tools and strategies to help manage what our children are exposed to online, making it easier for parents to implement and monitor these safeguards. She also covered the importance of having open communication with our children about their online activities and how to create a healthy relationship with technology. I left the session feeling more informed, equipped, and confident in my ability to navigate the challenges of online safety with my daughter (Year 6). As soon as I spoke to Anna on the phone I knew she would be a great fit as not only was the content she was focusing on relevant and vital to parents, she was so passionate and welcoming! She delivered a workshop for my membership all around keeping children safe online. Just wow - I am so glad I tuned into the workshop today. I learnt so much and it was a massive eye-opener at just how easy it is for children to be exposed to content they shouldn't be and the impact on their safety. Also being aware of screen time and ways of minimising it. I really appreciated that it was all taught in a non-judgemental way and much more about awareness, guidance and practical steps. Anna delivered two workshops for our school. One Year 6 pupils and one for parents. The children loved their workshop. Anna made them all feel it was a safe space to talk and helped them feel more at ease with things they may expect in Secondary school and understand how to stay safe.  All of the children were keen to speak about their experiences and liked the fact that Anna was so easy to talk to. The parent workshop was well attended and Anna made sure the points parents requested were answered during the session. Her no judgement approach allowed the parents to open up and share their concerns which really helped the session progress. We were so pleased with the responses to both sessions and will definitely use Anna again in the future.

Being the parent of a child who has a phone and access to social media is really worrying and the prospect of keeping them safe can be overwhelming. ScreenSafe has really helped me to tackle the things I can control and continues to keep me informed of changes I need to be aware of…would highly recommend.

Anna worked with parents within our local cluster of schools and home-school network to provide an information evening aimed at keeping children and young people safe online.  Her knowledge and advice was incredibly useful, Anna answered a range of questions and was able to link responses to the latest research and studies.  This is a rapidly evolving area with apps changing all the time and new ones appearing.  Screensafe is the perfect way for us to stay on top of this with regular blogs, training and advice.  Anna's diligence is very reassuring and the fact that she takes the time to digest the latest research and communicate the most up to date information is invaluable both as a parent and an educational setting.
